This is a fascinating article, and your point about AI being additive for over 40 versus younger minds is so accurate.

I really enjoyed this piece. I do think that "democratizing" technology like the printing press or AI necessarily changes its creators and users. McLuhan speaks a lot about this phenomenon -- although seeing it applied to the history of Jewish prayer is fascinating. I also believe AI has a tremendous role to play as a humanist tool - for those who retain their cognitive abilities. I've worked with AI to help my understanding of classical music, opera - and even my own morning prayers (in terms of understanding the liturgy). I struggle with defining any tool -- particularly one with this kind of power -- as good or bad. Particularly if it can be used in ways that honor hashem.
